Final Josh Siege Nets Claimers First Capture; Odo Busts Hulk Block on Budding Town in Pawa

Screen Shot 2015-07-10 at 7.27.01 PMWhat is likely the final claimers siege against ex-Stomper Josh has led to their ninth successful siege and first city capture — only the second capture of the ongoing war over land claims. Early this morning, server time, the Times received a report confirming the successful capture of the PublicRelations’ city of Untamed Generousity in the High Hills:

Untamed Generousity, belonging to PublicRelations which was located at 635|-1824 has been captured by Thorgrim.

For Thorgrim, it is his first siege of the war. The city retains about 2,500 population.

The final capture of this city likely marks the end of Josh’s participation in the Stomps/claimers war, after officially leaving Stomps yesterday. He entered the war roughly three weeks ago when he reportedly used forces from his HumanResources account — in Shark at the time — to hit and break SIN blockades in Pawanallpa. Those initial hits led Josh to move both of his well-known accounts into Stomp, wherein he proceeded to fight tenaciously in the Pawanallpa and High Hills regions of the war, in spite of being overmatched by claimers’ forces. He even reportedly exodused cities into northern BL to bolster his defensive options. In total, Josh lost three cities in the war, and added a substantial amount of intrigue to the conflict.

Odoacer Breaks Blockade By SIN’s Hulk On Tiny Town in Pawanallpa

In another report from today’s action in the war, Stomps’ Odoacer broke a blockade set up by Hulk in Pawanallpa on his large hamlet of Geuua. The battle report was provided to the Times in a private message entitled, “Blockade Cleared by Odoacer’s 5 day old city.” Troop counts and types have been redacted by the editorial staff:

Victorious battle against Hulk’s forces at [700|-1833] in Pawanallpa by Odoacer’s forces from Geuua

Cavalry comes into its own when able to strike hostile forces at will, and from unexpected directions – and nowhere is this more feasible than on open plains. Lightly armoured spear units, however, prefer terrain where there’s some cover available.

Fighting defensively on open plains, cavalry draws strength from the ability to form and reform their lines of engagement depending on the direction of battle, and it is here where cavalry excels.

Attackers: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Commander: Geuua A Damaged for 56, 44 health remains.
Troops:
Defenders: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Commander: t2 cav Damaged for 100, 0 health remains.

The 5 day-old hamlet is likely part of Stomps’ purported long-term effort to use Elgean cities and new settlements to build a stronger military presence in Pawanallpa in order to fight SIN more effectively in the Broken Lands.

  1. LOL. While Sin celebrates razings and captures, stomps are celebrating a little block beating of a few cav. Things are so desperate there that straws are being clutched. I think Ron/Odo has omitted the report where that town was cleared out by me where I lost 67 cav to kill his 670 or so spears.

  2. True enough, but I thought the following (omitted) report was more interesting, where I attacked with 1000 T1 spears and killed 163 T2 cav – not really an imposing blockade.

  3. There appears to be a new land claim alliance that Stomps may be able to defeat. Rather innovatively they have claimed part of the Broken Lands without having any towns within the confines of their claim.

  4. Odo,
At least you are making an effort in this war, not like the rest of your alliance. Especially pico not willing to lift a finger to help, adding more cities and having not many troops.
