Stomps’ heavy hitter has stepped out of the war. The Times was alerted to the departure of Ron Fay from the land claim-fighting alliance, along with his alt Odoacer. Ron left at 19:14 server time today, and Odoacer shortly after.
Ron Fay has arguably played the biggest role in the war for Stomps militarily. He mounted a stellar offense against He-Man in the eastern Elgean deserts using both of his accounts — a feat that few have even dared in this game. After having to deal with a flurry of He-Man sieges early on in the war, a siege largely fueled by Fay’s own troops and siege assets finally brought down the desert orc’s Mankini Mansion on June 28th.
Few players can claim such a rare victory against what many would argue is the game’s most formidable military player.
Ron Fay also was bold enough to exodus cities into Pawanallpa in an attempt to create a Stomps bulwark in the BL. The effort was largely abortive, since SIN managed a quick raze against his maundering city of La Villa Strangiato — a city that may have been destroyed but will be long-remembered in this limited but intriguing little war.
Both Fay and Odoacer currently have a total of 4 additional cities in Pawanallpa. It remains to be seen what kind of inbound military operations the claimers may have on those cities, whether the prospect of losing further cities precipitated Fay’s exit, and what will happen to the cities post-exit.
Regardless, Fay exits as one of the major stars in this war on a side that has otherwise struggled militarily to compete against the claimers’ loose coalition.
