[UPDATED] TVM-Intercepted Vans at Campagnolo Siege Reveal Pico’s Alt Supplied City From MOON

Evidence has been presented to the Times revealing that SHARK Shadow Council member Pico’s alt account LePue was caught by TVM forces at the siege of Campagnolo running supplies to the besieged city yesterday. TVM officials provided a full manifest of intercepted caravans during fierce fighting around the city yesterday, as SHARK worked in earnest to rebuild the city with expedited resources and prestige.

It is not uncommon for third-party res suppliers — often affiliated with alliance who are supposed to remain neutral in a war — to run supplies to in-game friends or their own alts in times war, even when risking the implications of being caught. However, the appearance of LePue’s vans on the manifest above coincides with a recent diplomatic agreement between BMOON and SHARK. A NAP was established between the two alliances less than a day after the start of the Newlands War, which began on September 24th, 2015 at 2:00 am server time:

The NAP, which was declared by SHARK, could indicate that this diplomatic agreement was forged explicitly for the purposes of MOON supporting SHARK in the Newlands region in the even that LePue chose to use his resources or forces. MOON has no cities in Newlands, but has a nearby cluster in Coanhara. They maintain a NAP with T-SC but are neutral with both TVM and RE.

[UPDATED — 19:30 ST] JodaMyth [MOON] replied to requests for comment by the Times. The following are his unedited answers:

Times: Was MOON leadership aware that LePue was sending caravans to SHARK’s besieged city? If so, was the action sanctioned by MOON leaders?

Joda: No, we were not aware and it was not sanctioned by Moon or its leadership. As soon as we were informed of it he was asked to leave the alliance and complied willingly. (within 5 min of us knowing of his actions.)

Times: A NAP between MOON and SHARK was established on 25 Sep 2015 17:28, less than a day after war was declared in the Newlands War. Was this NAP established so that MOON could run supplies to besieged SHARK cities in the BL? If not, what was the purpose of this NAP?  

Joda: Moon and SHARK cities are intertwined all throughout Elgea. We have had an on and off again NAP for months often to avoid harvesters being killed while going after the same NPCs. Prior to this last NAP we were running some PvP training exercises for smaller Moon members when the war broke out and the NAP was re-established. I’d also like to point out a NAP has nothing to do with running supplies as suggested in the question.

Times: Does MOON intend to expand support of SHARK in the war?

Joda: We cannot expand what does not exist. This war has nothing to do with Moon, both the alliance and I personally have friends on both sides of this war. We have had a long standing relationship with both parties involved in this and strive to remain neutral to any and all conflicts on Illy. This is to keep our focus on training new players without the burden of external alliance politics.
