JOSH 1, AGA 0: YARR Razes TUF Leader in Protracted Desert Siege

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amThe Pirate Republic has scored a major siege victory in its war with TUF, with BL military veteran Josh razing TUF leader and Broken Lands warlord Agalloch in a protracted, hotly-contested siege in the scorched deserts of Pawanallpa that concluded on Wednesday morning. Early this morning, YARR officials posted the details of the successful siege to the Times:

.Megadeth, belonging to Agalloch which was located at 731|-1734 has been razed by PublicRelations.

The siege on Megadeth began in the early hours of May 16. While the siege only took two days to complete, it was reportedly a contentious operation that was contested by Agalloch breaking small blockades, meeting direct attacks on the city with equipped elites, and prestige building heavily to keep the city from collapsing. a player with detailed knowledge of the battle claims that Josh’s storm force “practically walked right in,” indicating that Megadeth was out of troops — a claim that Agalloch himself even eluded to at times in GC.

In comments to the Times, Josh noted that: “Agalloch did a good job clearing blockades until we started doing rotating blockades and timing it really well,” adding that “credit goes to Walnut, a new player in Yarr who has done an awesome job in the war so far and we are very impressed with him.”

YARR’s success at Megadeth is likely partially a result of the alliance’s failed siege against Aga’s city of , which was defeated at the gates as YARR attempted to storm and raze. While heralded as a major defensive victory for TUF, the battle may have substantially depleted Agalloch’s forces.

Josh reinforced this notion, stating, “Our siege was too big for the remaining TUF troops in Pawanallpa Region to make a real dent. A few long distance cav armies were sent from KentBird too but not enough. The win is a big one for YARR, and a catharsis for Pirate Republic members who transferred from Death.  In the Death/TUF-Tuna war, Agalloch forged his reputation as a major BL warrior based on an impressive 6 siege breaks on Death, 5 of which he conducted himself. In the current war, TUF already has 4 siege breaks — a statistic that YARR claims is only the result of TUF’s decision to not counter-siege. By taking down the city of Megadeth, YARR breaks a defensive winning streak for TUF.

Megadeth was also a prolific spear-building city for TUF in Pawanallpa — ostensibly the disputed region that is being fought over in this war. Razing of the city has a direct impact on the balance of power in that region.

Josh concluded in his comments to the Times that TUF may be showing signs of retreat as well: “Lot’s of Exodus out of Pawanallpa, Elfs Bane is moving to Shardlands with his remaining towns we think and the Agalloch account will likely stay and buy some time for the Shardlands hub while we finish the remaining towns there.”
