YARR Defection to TUF Triggers Pirate Isles Siege

Screen Shot 2015-07-10 at 7.27.01 PMA recent defection from YARR to TUF has led to a close-in siege in the Pirate Isles. The Herald’s siege section is reporting a multi-camp siege on Dark Dan I, who recently transferred from YARR to TUF:

A look at Dark Dan I’s profile indicates that the account left the Pirate Republic on May 11 and did a stint in deadmen walking, a rump alliance that currently houses Curmudgeon and Vlad the Inhaler.

He joined YARR on June 16.

Commenting on the ongoing siege operation, TUF officials claim that it  “started and was very unorganised, more of a knee jerk move to him joining TUF and having a city in PI.” They went on to report that “the first was a siege on a small hill by Turjake which was broken on 21 Jun 2016 09:04 by HR.”

Josh, who himself defected from YARR to TUF this month, appears to have been using his close proximity to the YARR hub in Pirate Isles to challenge the siege. “Another [siege] on east plains square by Foma Merrinseph was broken by HR at 22 Jun 2016 00:06 by HR.”
In one sense, Josh’s position in Pirate Isles puts him in the crosshairs for being sieged from close in. At the same time, himself a military player, likely with many stalwarts, his troops could be a bottomless pit for YARR forces if they seek to engage him in the ongoing war.

    • That’s rich, given how often you target inactives and small accounts. Do any of those change the outcome? At least getting rid of an (active) enemy city in the middle our primary hub had strategic value. Though I recognize he’s not exactly a strong military account right now. With an attack rank of 239 and defense rank of 75, it’s an account that could be mobilized.
