TUF Completes Elgean Siege on YARR’s Korlat2; RE Shakes Loose of TUF Siege in BL Thanks To SIN

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amTUF’s most recent round of counter-siege attempts have borne mixed results, with the embattled military alliance racking up a raze on a protracted siege in Elgea while a seemingly easy siege on RE in southern BL was thwarted by a SIN siege break.

The Times noted that Spektor’s siege on Korlat2’s city of Black Coral, which began on July 4th, finally stormed and razed the city. Currently, the city is gone, and only a few remaining reinforcement armies remain. For Spektor, this is his first raze for TUF since joining the alliance to assist in their war.

Black Coral was reduced to a population of zero before being stormed. It is believed that the city had been reinforced with a large spear army that had to be cleared before Spektor could take the city. It is unknown what the size of the storm force was, as neither alliance has provided the Times with any correspondence on the battle.

For TUF, the raze comes 12 days after their last successful siege operation, with Josh razing Urlond Bloodaxe’s city of Khedesh on June 26, 2016.

TUF was not as successful in the Broken Lands with its seemingly easy siege operation on Knight of Ancients, who has since dropped out of RE. The Times noted on the 6th of July that the siege, which was being undertaken by TUF’s kaven. The original siege camp against the city of Vgrumkik landed at [448|-3299] in Jurgor, and was accompanied by two other siege camps later on. However, as of today, all camps are now gone.

SIN officials shared a combat report revealing a siege break on the first siege by SIN’s Bulani:

Two opposing forces clash against each other.

Cavalry comes into its own when able to strike hostile forces at will, and from unexpected directions – and nowhere is this more feasible than on open plains. Lightly armoured spear units, however, prefer terrain where there’s some cover available.

Fighting defensively on open plains, cavalry draws strength from the ability to form and reform their lines of engagement depending on the direction of battle, and it is here where cavalry excels.

Attackers: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Commander: Sherri Swiftsteed 1 Damaged for 0, 100 health remains.
Troops: Swiftsteeds 10000 112 9888

Defenders: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Troops: Wardens 4 4 0
Troops: Sentinels 1 1 0
Commander: creak Marshal 1 Damaged for 400, 0 health remains.
Troops: Marshals 126 126 0
Commander: vvc Marshal 1 Damaged for 450, 0 health remains.
Troops: Marshals 25 25 0
Troops: Siege Hooks 1 1 0
Troops: Mangonels 5 5 0

The composition of the other two sieges is unknown, nor is it known if they were broken or recalled. However, the small size of this siege suggests that kaven assumed that the siege would go uncontested and was unwilling to committ serious troops to the effort.

In an exchange with SIN leader Jejune, when asked if SIN is now working closely with RE, he responded saying, “there are no formal diplomatic relations with Roman Empire. However, we watch the siege board and live by the credo, ‘if its red, its dead.'”
