SHARK Sieges Continue to Land, Sieges Firing Amid TVM Call For Peace

Screen Shot 2015-07-22 at 1.25.39 PMSHARK sieges continue to fire spite of a call for peace, according to information posted in the Herald siege section as well as official statements from TVM. The Times reported on the peace offering from TVM yesterday, however, a recent post by TVM leadership claims that their outreach for a cease-fire and surrender terms began three days ago. Since that time, another SHARK siege has landed in Newlands:

Fediglio [TVM] 3 – Meat [7|-2156] in Newlands lordziggy [SHARK] Sat 24 Oct 16:50

This is the second time that Fediglio’s city has been targeted by SHARK.

In addition, sieges that initiated days ago by SHARK are also still appearing on the Herald siege list, including the dual siege on Lord Moonpie:

Lord Moonpie [TVM] Borax [-368|-1828] in Northmarch Hevneren [SHARK] Wed 21 Oct 13:39
Lord Moonpie [TVM] Borax [-366|-1828] in Northmarch Hevneren [SHARK] Thu 22 Oct 00:41

In the midst of the wait for SHARK surrender terms, the leading alliance has managed to rack up several victories to further support their dominance in the Newlands war. Defensively, they broke the RE siege on Allyssar’s city of Diamonsisle by vgsrhhheth. Offensively, they picked up a raze of GrrlyOrc’s city of [TVM] Bondage Barracks in Oarmnamly by Halcyon.

However, TVM did manage to prevent a raze of Ngatz’s [TVM] city of Z3 Zarn 3 in the Newlands by ex-Stomper Valdorum.

[UPDATED] SHARK Captures City in Newlands; TVM Siege Breaks 2, Puts King A On the Ropes

Screen Shot 2015-07-20 at 10.32.40 AM

[UPDATED 10/19, 13:45 ST — This article has been updated to reflect that Sagleruk’s city was not razed by SHARK, but that the siege was broken. This was originally reported as a SHARK siege but has been updated in the article below and on the War Score Card.]

The new dawn in Illyriad has brought with it major outcomes in the recent spate of siege operations taking place on the Newlands peninsula between SHARK and TVM, with top-ranked alliance racking up a successful siege, while TVM continues to scrap for a major win against King A.

Of the three sieges initiated by Shark, one has so far been a success, with .Mordred. capturing the town of R-06 from the purportedly inactive Rojak.

TVM, however, have had successes of their own in the field this weekend. The SHARK siege on Salgerluk’s city of Blah HA HA HA HA HA was reportedly broken by TVMThe siege against Fediglio’s city of 3 – Meat appears to have been broken by TVM forces as well, though the outcome of this battle is yet to be confirmed via an official combat report.

Perhaps even bigger news is the status of the current siege against SHARK’s King A, which has seen the fiercest fighting of all four battles in Newlands over the weekend. At one point, the Times observed that King A’s city of New Troy had been prestige built to double-digit population. The city now currently stands at a sub-2,000 population, and while Lorcan’s early siege was broken, mccannj’s secondary siege has picked up the slack and still appears to be firing:

King A [SHARK] New Troy [45|-2286] in Newlands mccannj [TVM] Sat 17 Oct 04:08

The raze population for the city is unknown, however, if TVM is successful, it would bring the score for this weekend’s round of sieges to one raze, one siege break for TVM and 1 capture, 1 raze for SHARK.

Newlands Action Heats Up As SHARK Targets 2 More TVM Cities With Sieges

Screen Shot 2015-07-17 at 9.59.28 AMAfter two long pauses, the Newlands War has once again heated up, with the most simultaneous military activity taking place in the Newlands since the start of the war. While TVM continues to battle hard for a much-needed siege victory against King A, SHARK has managed to put several sieges in motion, adding two new sieges to the Herald’s siege section. The first one came just after midnight, server time:

Salgerluk [TVM] Blah HA HA HA HA HA [-21|-2206] in Newlands Ron Fay [SHARK] Sun 18 Oct 00:32

Ron has set his siege in a small forest to the southwest of the city, which is accompanied by 5 encircling blockades on plains. Size or structure of these armies are obviously unknown at this point, and the Times has observed minimal fighting around the city thus far.
