Based on two reports from Shark members, the Times is revising this story and removing the siege break from the Newlands War Score Card, as the siege itself was essentially a fake.
A comment from Josh on October 15th indicated, “Sorry mate, this one was yet another 1cat army, broken by the town under siege. Doesn’t count as a point.” SHARK co-leader Halcyon echoed this sentiment in a message to the Times: “As far as I know, Allyssar broke the siege by himself in 1 attack. It was nothing serious.” We thank SHARK for the correction.

Top-ranked alliance SHARK continues to dominate the Newlands war, out-sieging and out-defending the three coalition DSD forces in the Broken Lands. On October 13th, SHARK registered two major razes in Newlands and Oarnamly — ground zero for the Newlands War — and has also managed to siege break an RE siege against SHARK’s Allyssar’s city of AmberInlet in Northmarch.
News of the siege break was hinted at via a comment from Kayteen and later confirmed by the Times from SHARK leader Halcyon.
The War Score Card now shows SHARK ahead 7 to 1 in scoring against the DSD south alliances. While the scoring system is unofficial and admittedly imperfect, the Times editors feel that overall the current score is representative of SHARK’s early dominance in the Newlands War.
Note: The Times has reached out to Shark leaders on who broke this siege, but has yet to hear back. We will update the story accordingly.
