SIN Breaks 27th Siege of “More than a Million” Troops

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 6.10.49 pmSIN has broken a large-scale siege on one of its Newlands members, claiming that the operation involved “more than a million” enemy troops between both siege camps and the blockade. SIN officials shared with the Times the final siege breaks, but noted that the sieges were crippled many hours before the final death blows.

SIN’s DML is once again credited with the siege break, giving him five for the war.

SIN’s DML Breaks Yet Another Unbow Siege

SIN’s DML has picked up another key siege break for SIN, extending Unbow’s unlikely siege losing streak. SIN officials provided details of the final hit that destroyed the siege, which was purportedly weakened within hours of it landing:

Attacking up a small hill offers little advantage, or penalty, to the attacking force.

Defences with a height advantage, however small, are better than nothing.

Commander: m2 Marshal 1 Damaged for 278, 0 health remains.
Troops: Wardancers 82 82 0
Troops: Mangonels 6 6 0

SIN officials describe the siege as particularly lackluster, including about 60,000 spears and just 20 catapults. For DML, he has picked up 3 of the 4 4 siege breaks for SIN. For Unbow, the alliance has still yet to successfully siege a SIN city since its foundation on January 31st, 2016. Unbow/SHARK/VIC have not successfully sieged SIN since December 11th, 2015 when it razed He-Man in Kul-Tar — one of only 5 razes total for the confederacy in this war.

Snellman appears to have moved the city after the siege was broken, however, a blockade remains on his other town.

SIN Busts Siege on Odo For 18th Consecutive Siege Break; Unbow Still Siegeless

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amSIN has finished off the second of two sieges launched by Unbow at Ron Fay and his alt account Odoacer in a revenge op, after Fay joined ranks with his former foes. Earlier in the day, SIN officials provided of the first siege break on Ron fay’s cities. Now, confirmation has come in showing a decisive break on the other siege op as well:

DML is credited with the siege break, though SIN credits a team-wide effort in breaking what it describes as two large sieges on Fay.

SIN officials also pointed out that this siege break is the 18th consecutive siege break against its opponents since the last time it lost a siege, which razed He-Man’s city of Pyrrhic Victory on December 11, 2015. The sieger on that operation was SHARK’s moses — at preset, Unbow as an alliance has yet to successfully raze or capture a SIN city, and the Unbow/SHARK/VIC confederacy has not destroyed a SIN city in the year 2016 as of yet.

Conversely, SIN has destroyed 11 of its opponents’ cities since January 1st, 7 of which were Unbow cities.

[UPDATED] VIC Tries Yet Again to Siege SIN as SHARK Loses Phelony Siege in Newlands

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amIn spite of a string of 10 consecutive siege losses to SIN, SHARK-VIC continue to attempt new siege operations in SiN strongholds. The most recent siege is once again targeting Ayraelf’s city of Mamutoi:

[12:34]<System> ** News Flash: Ayraelf’s [SIN]burgeoning city of a. Mamutoi is now under siege by Malco Dragonblood’s [VIC] large town ofDRAGONS FIRE

This is the second time that Mamutoi has been targeted in the war. The first siege was attempted in the early part of the month by SHARK’s Elanderrich and was broken on January 5, 2015. This new siege by Malco Dragonblood seems relatively simple, and reinforcements have not been seen accompanying the siege force. Malco will once again look to capitalize on a siege that is staged from thick forests around the city, forcing SIN to once again delve into its stores of infantry to clear it.

Meanwhile, SIN has once again dispatched a SHARK siege, with SIN player DML breaking the final siege camp on the northwest corner of the city of Amity Island. SIN officials provided the battle report, which the Times has abridged for brevity:

Cavalry comes into its own when able to strike hostile forces at will, and from unexpected directions – and nowhere is this more feasible than on open plains. Lightly armoured spear units, however, prefer terrain where there’s some cover available.

Fighting defensively on open plains, cavalry draws strength from the ability to form and reform their lines of engagement depending on the direction of battle, and it is here where cavalry excels.

Attackers: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Commander: D08-C1 Charioteer 1 Damaged for 20, 180 health remains.
Troops: Knights

For SIN, this is now the 19th siege break on the SHARK-VIC confederacy, and yet another consecutive siege loss for the top five-rated alliances. The last successful siege operation against SIN was by moses on He-Man’s city of Pyrrhic Victory on December 11, 2015. The last successful BL-based siege was a capture of ChuckNourish’s city of Stonetooth Peak on November 16, 2015.

[UPDATED — January 27, 8:00 pm ST — SIN officials have alerted to the Times to the fact that the siege on Ayraelf was a fake in that it only contained 1 catapult and 1 troop. It will not be counted as a siege break.[
