SIN Surpasses 50th War Score Point, Launches Second Siege on Unbow’s Darth Darius

Screen Shot 2015-10-14 at 9.31.30 amSIN has surpassed the 50th point in the War Score Card scoring of the Newlands War II, with SIN’s Plathus getting the raze in what appears to have been a lightly contested battle. SIN officials provided proof of the raze:

Subject: FW: Victorious battle against longfeather’s forces at Head Feather by Plathus’s forces from IronHammer

Attackers arrive, unopposed, at this location.

Cavalry comes into its own when able to strike hostile forces at will, and from unexpected directions – and nowhere is this more feasible than on open plains. Lightly armoured spear units, however, prefer terrain where there’s some cover available.

Fighting defensively on open plains, cavalry draws strength from the ability to form and reform their lines of engagement depending on the direction of battle, and it is here where cavalry excels.

Attackers: Unit: Quantity: Casualties: Survivors:
Commander: Ironglue Stalwart 1 Damaged for 0, 300 health remains.
Troops: Stalwarts 0
Troops: Battery-towers 0
Troops: Ballistas 0

The raze is Plathus’ first siege contribution to SIN, and SIN’s 16th successful siege. The SHARK-VIC-Unbow confederacy has 5.

Just as the Head Feather siege was beginning to grind down the city, a secondary siege initiated just to the west of the first siege location, with SIN hitting Unbow’s Darth Darius:

Darth Darius [Unbow] Gondor [-19|-2261] in Newlands Tink XX [SIN] Sat 06 Feb 10:00

That siege features a blockade on a small hill and siege in a building. While the terrain favors a solid siege defense for SIN, the city of Gondor is in close proximity to SHARK and Unbow cities, giving them an opportunity to pepper the sieges with close-range hits.

At present, there has only been a few units seen hitting the camps.

SIN Sets New Siege on SHARK’s Longfeather in Newlands

Screen Shot 2015-11-07 at 12.09.33 amSIN has initiated a new siege against SHARK in Newlands, all while the offshoot Unbow alliance continues to pick up members. The once top-ranked SHARK, now relegated to the 13th spot in alliance rankings, still maintains a toe-hold on the Newlands peninsula. SIN appears to be looking to target the remaining SHARK members in Newlands, of which Longfeather is one of them. The Herald’s siege section reported the information as follows:

longfeather [SHARK] Head Feather [11|-2259] in Newlands Plathus [SIN] Fri 05 Feb 11:20

Plathus’ siege is positioned in a small forest, along with a blockade. It is unknown what level of fighting has occurred throughout the day to engage the siege and blockade.

While SHARK’s numbers decline in the wake of a mass exodus from the alliance, the Unbowed alliance — a clear offshoot of SHARK, purportedly designed to engage SIN as a leaner, more effective fighting force — continues to bring on new members from SHARK, VIC, and even a player from DiL. Now ranked 6th overall in all of Illyriad, the 37-member Unbow has concentrated military accounts in Newlands and the High Hills in an effort to rebuff SIN’s success in the war thus far.
