SIN Breaks 8th Consecutive SHARK-VIC Siege

SIN broke the most recent siege launched against Ayraelf in the forests of Gremont, marking the eighth time in a row that the militarized alliance has destroyed en enemy siege. It is also the second broken siege against Ayraelf’s city of Iza.

SIN member Ten Kulch elaborated on the siege break in the Times earlier:

The second siege at Ayraelf c. Iza was broken at 12:27 server time by infantry forces from Fiona 3. Woody. Most of the heavy lifting was accomplished by stalwarts from Goldy1, Tink XX, OleBlackLord. The forest city’s population was lowered from 11000 down to 4000, and the wall was completely destroyed. Ayraelf led two successful Sally Forth maneuvers using sentinels and war dancers, or the damage might have been even worse.

Overall a much more exciting battle than the first six sieges against SIN (largely due to not realizing it was a siege until it landed). Well fought by both sides.

SHARK Targets SIN Again in BL Siege, Sieges Ayraelf’s Iza For Second Time

In spite of SIN’s recent 7-siege winning streak in breaking sieges aimed at their homeland in the northern Fellandire region, SHARK is once again establishing a siege on optimal terrain, targeting Ayraelf’s city of Iza for a second time. The new siege was announced in GC:

The first siege on Iza was sent by Elanderrich from his city of 03. Raevalla, likely a relatively new addition to the Newlands/High Hills region due to its nearly unsiegeable position. Once again, SHARK is using a Broken Lands-based siege army with its second siege on the city, as Haroldus’ city of Dark Elms is located directly in SHARK’s Newlands stronghold.

Details of the siege in the Herald siege section also indicate that SHARK have chosen a new siege location from the first siege, setting up on the northwestern corner of the city in a small forest:

It is possible, however, that some of the reinforcements for this siege are remnants of a blockade from the first siege that were never recalled and that SIN never bothered to break, which may have made of a convenient follow-up siege opportunity.

SIN is rumored to have spent a great deal of forces in defending its sieges thus far. It remains to be seen if the military-oriented alliance still have enough troops left to continue to rebuff these powerful SHARK and VIC sieges into their homeland.

DOUBLE BREAK: SIN Dispatches Both SHARK Sieges in its BL Heartland

Two major SHARK siege operations launched at cities in the northern portion of SIN’s heartland have been broken in roughly 15 hours of intense fighting. SIN member Ten Kulch indicated in a comment on the Times at 5:00 am server time that both sieges were destroyed, noting that SIN’s Janadorf got the official siege break on the Iza siege. “Congrats to Janadorf and the team for breaking the siege on c. Iza at 05 Jan 2016 04:31,” he noted. “Many different SIN dwarves delivered crushing hits into that large forest siege camp.” Kulch also claimed a SIN victory over SHARK’s siege on the city of Mamutoi as well. “The siege of a. Mamutoi has also succumbed after taking a non-stop lashing from SIN cavalry. Well done to all you smelly horse riders and your delicious horses.”

These details were confirmed by battle reports later sent to the Times by SIN leadership. Janadorf’s final hit on Iza’s small hill siege shows the remnants of a large camp. Troop numbers have been redacted from the report:

SHARK has mounted its largest, most coordinated offensive to date in its ongoing war with SIN, driving sieges directly into the heart of SIN territory. Earlier today, server time, three SHARK sieges reported touched down in GC:

Eyewitnesses at the scene watched the siege on Yurtus’ city of Gendaga Arguvaa recall just minutes after, suggesting that the second siege was likely a ruse. The two remaining sieges against Ayraelf appear to be well timed and coordinated. The Herald has listed them as such in their siege section:
