SIN Breaks Encore VIC Siege on Queen Bikini’s Exxotica; Phelony Siege Wavering

Screen Shot 2015-12-05 at 10.42.58 amSIN has officially broken VIC’s siege on Queen Bikini’s city of Exxotica, marking the 18th break of the war for the military alliance. A view of the city shows that it is indeed gone, but a SIN provided proof of the siege break. Queen Bikini has subsequently exodused the city — perhaps a wise move considering it was the second time SHARK-VIC had targeted it:

Two opposing forces clash against each other.

The close quarter hand-to-hand combat required when fighting in a building is a blessing to the well trained spear or swordsman. Cavalry, however, find it extremely hard to fight here.

Spear and swordsmen find that building fighting is their place to shine. An intimate knowledge of the choke points in a building also somehwat benefits defending bowmen despite their limited arcs of fire. Cavalry detest fighting in and around buildings.

SHARK Launches Counter-Offensive Against Newlands-based SIN Member

Screen Shot 2015-10-02 at 9.13.12 amIn the wake of its defeat at King A’s summer palace in the Newlands, the SHARK-VIC confederacy has launched what appears to be a counter-offensive to challenge SIN in both Fellandire and Newlands. The VIC siege against Queen Bikini’s city of Exxotica still appears to be ongoing, but population drop has seemingly ground to a halt, calling into question the state of that siege for VIC.

Meanwhile on the Newlands peninsula, SHARK has mounted a major siege operation against Phelony’s city of Amity Island. The Herald’s siege section reports two sieges touching down around midnight server time:

Phelony [SIN] Amity Island [-2|-2241] in Newlands Spektor [SHARK] Tue 26 Jan 00:00
Phelony [SIN] Amity Island [-3|-2241] in Newlands Spektor [SHARK] Tue 26 Jan 00:52

Spektor’s dual sieges have already been diminished, as the Times has noted that the northeast siege has already been broken. However, the north siege — which is positioned atop a small hill — remains, as does three blockades on the city. there is also an occupying force n the northwest square which could play host to a tertiary siege that is arriving later.

This is not the first time that SHARK has attempted to strike ex-members of the Trivium alliance, who came over in a merger with SIN’s training alliance GATE, just prior to the start of the war. Spektor tried to siege Lorcan’s city of Kilkee on December 31, 2015, which was broken by DML, another ex-TVM player. In total, SIN has broken 17 sieges in the war while out-sieging SHARK-VIC 15 to 5.

SHARK-VIC will look to turn these scores around with this Amity Island siege.

UPDATED:

Spektor has initiated a third siege on the city, occupying the northwest corner. It is a plains siege:

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Communications Reveal How Lorcan/Odo PvP Led to SHARK/TVM Escalation

Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 9.59.12 amIGMs, PCs and in-game private conversations leaked by TVM and SHARK between key players involved in the current standoff indicate that a Lorcan siege on Odoacer in their proposed pvp matchup was the touchstone for what could lead to full-scale war in the Newlands peninsula.

In a forum thread started by Halcyon on September 14th, the SHARK leader indicated that the current conflict between his alliance and TVM was the result of TVM aggression against Odoacer — a claim that TVM leadership has contested. “I would like to make it clear that the only reason for the current conflict in NewLands is that TVM has attacked SHRKr,” stated Halcyon in his first post. He went on to note that Lorcan’s motivation for engaging in a pvp duel with Odoacer was the result of Odo’s town placement within TVM’s land claim: “Their pretext is that SHRKr towns have been placed inside their land claim.”

In a later post, Halcyon expanded on the situation between Lorcan and Odoacer, stating: “The PVP agreement between Lorcan and Odoacer did not include relocation of towns and I have proof of THAT.”

To add context and evidence to this situation, both TVM and SHARK submitted to the Times the communications that took place prior to the pvp that reference the claims made in the forums.
