SIN Takes Down Unbow City in Coanhara in Less Than 24 Hours

Screen Shot 2015-11-07 at 1.02.16 pmSIN’s far-flung siege on an Unbow city in Coanhara has resulted in a sub-24-hour raze. The siege against Rudyjr by Plathus, which the Times reported on yesterday, arrived on site at 17:59. Documents provided to the Times from SIN officials reveal that PLathus stormed and razed the city at 16:15 today:

In revealing comments under the previous article, SIN Field Commander Ten Kulch offered detailed insights into the onset of the siege operation:

Highly interesting activity on this one. The city was locked down by a long feint (nice job, RudyJr!). When we launched the siege, it was a legendary city of about 27000 population. During the approach, the city’s population was cut -21000 down to 6000, and all the sov was canceled.

Scouts have shown that the city is empty, with two commanders returning from the feint, and no troops. Most likely Rudy attempted to disband the army by depleting all gold and setting taxes to 0. That would also explain the sov collapse. SIN discovered that technique doesn’t work during an early siege against one of our newer players, who accidentally pinned his city while attempting to dodge.

We are very excited to see if Rudy tries to dig his way out of this siege with prestige building. Since the city was 27000 when we launched, I think the team is still pumped up about a legendary fortress battle, even though RudyJr has demolished his own population by -21000 already.

However, prior to bombardment of the city beginning, Kulch reported that the city was in the process of being deleveled, ostensibly to make reducing the population through catapult volleys more difficult, since lover-levels reduce in population more slowly:

I should add that we later acquired a spy report. The big population buildings have all been lowered from 20 to 14-15. I assumed this was a preparation to prestige build up from the siege. That would be an exciting battle. But someone pointed out that the farms were also lowered to 12.

After racking our collective brains, the best theories were: 1. they were never built up from exodus (which seems far fetched for a 27000 population city), 2. they blew up when the taxes went to zero and the empty treasury killed the farm sov, which indiscriminately destroyed the buildings in reverse order, 3. it is deliberate damage to scuttle the city.

If anyone has another illuminating theory, I am all ears.

A most curious siege, and potentially either a very exciting one or a very dull one.

Times eyewitnesses believe that the latter was true for this siege, as our editorial staff did not note a single army hit either the siege or blockade. The light resistance is similar to what was reported on SiN’s other successful raze on the city of A3 Aerie yesterday.

For Plathus, this is is second successful siege — the first coming against Longfeather’s city of Head Feather on February 6, 2016. For SIN, it is their 19th successful siege.

Unbow, SIN Split Dual Sieges in High Hills as Third SIN Siege Continues

Screen Shot 2015-10-21 at 10.41.59 pmSIN razed another city while Unbow forced a siege recall in a split decision on the latest siege battles in the High Hills on Wednesday. After two days of fighting, both Hashashin sieges against ex-VIC leader DiabolicallyDLicious’ city of 6 Little Indians and ex-VIC member Eclavdra’s city of A3 Aerie had concluded around the same time. SIN conceded in a message to the Times that siege forces were withdrawn — likely after the blockade on the siege had been broken the evening before. Based on the fluctuation of population at 6 Little Indians, DiabolicallyDLicious likely pres built the city agressively, discouraging a protracted siege operation. Unbow picks up a siege break for the SIN withdrawal — the sixth overall siege break for the combined SHARK/VIC/Unbow confederacy against SIN.

North of the site of the 6 Little Indians siege, SIN’s OleBlacklord picked up his fourth siege victory at A3 Aerie, according to documents sent to the Times by alliance leadership:

Fewer units were observed hitting the SiN siege and block at Eclavdra’s city, though similar to 6 Little Indians, the siege appeared to be slowed down by prestige building.

As fighting in the High Hills wraps up for this round of the second Newlands War, SIN’s siege at Rudyjr’s city of R09 Augusta continues. Since the last report, a blockade has been established north of the city on a large hill, accompanying the siege camp, which is stationed on similar terrain to the northwest of the city walls.

Third SIN Siege in New Wave Targets Unbow City in Coanhara

Screen Shot 2015-10-17 at 12.57.53 pmSIN is reaching back behind its own lines in a new sieges against Unbow in Coanhara.Rudyjr’s city of R09 Augusta — an isolated city in forested and hilly terrain — appears to be being targeted by SIN’s enclave in Oarnamly and Newlands. The Herald is reporting the details in its siege section:

Rudyjr [Unbow] R09 Augusta [-484|-2223] in Coanhara Plathus [SIN] Wed 17 Feb 17:59

For Plathus, this is his second siege operation for SIN.

The new siege swings the arc of recent siege activities in the opposite direction of SIN’s two current sieges on Unbow, which are still underway in the High Hills, surrounded by what used to be VIC’s outpost cluster for the BL. While that region is still stacked with what appear to militarized Unbow accounts, it remains to be seen to what degree the alliance will be able to defend Rudyjr in Coanhara.
