The Times editorial staff is calling the first defensive siege battle for the upstart SHARK offshoot alliance Unbow a siege break. The Times reported yesterday that SIN had established a new siege on Unbow’s Promegeddon in Silbeaur. Although our staff did not receive any confirmation of a siege break, it appears that the siege mounted by SIN’s Salgerluk was broken and that Promegeddon has exodused his city away.
A scan of the battlefield around where the city once stood suggests that the battle was won by Unbow. The Times observed what appeared to be several late-arriving cav forces hitting squares that were originally occupied by SIN blockades and the siege camp itself.
The early win comes at a good time for Unbow, which is looking to establish itself as a new front in the Newlands II war. After falling behind SIN in the opening months of the current war, the most active SHARK players appeared to have formed Unbow to be a leaner, more unified fighting group that can match up better against SIN without the more varied accounts that compose SHARK’s roster, perhaps making for a more cumbersome fighting unit. In this first campaign, Unbow seems to have mobilized well, stretching its forces behind enemy lines to save Promegeddon’s city.
