MORE WAR: Death Declares On New Sith; Attacks Reportedly Launched

A second limited-scale war has erupted in Illyriad in the wake of a surprise war declaration from B!B against Aggro last night. The Deathmongers [Death]declared war on the New Sith Empire [NSE] early in the morning at 3:21 ST, extending the recent escalation in tensions in the Broken Lands. Death and NSE’s war is currently posted in the Herald’s Diplomacy section:

New Sith Empire [NSE] and Deathmongers [Death] enter War Wed 23 Sep 2015
No Escrow was exchanged.

Sources tell the Times that, similar to the mounting tensions between B!B and Aggro in GC, members of Death and NSE have also been trading barbs over the past weeks, with NSE leaders and veterans accusing Death of ratcheting up tensions toward a war — an allegation that appears to have been proven true by Death’s war declaration early this morning. The Times has also learned that hostile forces are already on the move in this war, though those reports could not be independently confirmed.

SHOCK: SITH Empire Destroyed From the Inside By Saboteur

Screen Shot 2015-08-20 at 7.53.16 PM
Revenge of the SITH? The entire SITH roster was purged by an alleged saboteur. A virtual “man-hunt” in Illy is underway to uncover the offender.

In a shocking development, a new member of Sith Empire [SITH] appears to have gained superuser access to the alliance and terminated all of its members. An unknown newbie player named Darkness, who was added to the SITH roster just today at 17:24 server time is the only remaining player in the alliance. While it is possible that the conspirator who terminated the accounts could have quit the alliance along with the purse in order to hide his identity, leaving Darkness to play the role of scapegoat, that possibility still remains to be seen.

The situation continues to develop, with high-profile players expressing shock and outrage. “Darkness did it,” stated VIC veteran TSGH-RJS in a GC comment.

“Well the player who did it could have left another player in the alliance and left himself to put the blame on someone,” demurred PublicRelations, suggesting other possibilities.

Perhaps most shocked are the members of SITH, who in an instant lost their entire alliance and its small but growing brand in the game. In GC comments, Sithlordcharlie, who is the founder of SITH, believes that there very well may be another conspirator who had the power to grant Darkness superuser rights in order to execute the purge:

<Sithlordcharlie> Darkness, who is in a role above you in the alliance heirarchy and has been granted permissions to administer the alliance membership list, has removed you from the alliance you were in.
<TSGH-RJS> Someone else had heirarchy, invited Darkness and then appointed him / her permissions.
<Sithlordcharlie> play 3 years then some ne is hack me
<Sithlordcharlie> lol
<Sithlordcharlie> no one can become emperor of alliance when i dont allow it

The SITH leader went on to suggest possible suspects in the case:

<Sithlordcharlie> zraznag/darkness/isroll have something again[st] me

Zraznarg, who recently created the Brotherhood of Steel, a new BL land claiming alliance, before moving over to SITH, earlier appeared to suggest he too was a victim of the hack. According to Zraz, his computer went black for 10 minutes, and when he came back later to check on his computer, he noted that players had dropped from the SITH roster. Minutes later, he too was removed. “I saw there was 8 left and within 2 min there was darkness left,” he explained earlier.

The alliance was cleared within a 10 minute period.

However, SPARTEN SITH earlier accused Zraznarg, Isroll and Darkness of being the same player, and that he was responsible for the entire conspiracy.

At this point, there is little evidence to support what really happened, aside from the clearing of the SITH roster and a series of accusations.
