Sieged Cities Next to Tournament Squares Stoke Unrest on Server

Tensions have begun to rise throughout the server as the issue of cities directly adjacent to tournamanent squares and the use of exodus to aggressively place cities filled with troops to dominate regions have become a contentious issue.

“Cities Next To Tournament Squares” has popped up as a lively debate in the forums in the wake of a growing conflict between StA and The Grey Company [G!] over the placement of cities next to tournament squares. StA first razed a city belonging to Mr Damage, which was placed next to a tournament marker and filled with troops to easily dominate the square. StA decided to siege the city in order to remove it from contention, leading to a retaliatory siege from G!.

Ryklaw: HORDE & StA “have thus far proven their military prowess above all others” in Tournament

Screen Shot 2015-10-17 at 12.57.53 pmvCrow military veteran Ryklaw recently commented on the stand-out alliances in the ongoing tournament, pointing to HORDE and StA as two impressive adversaries in vCrow’s otherwise dominating performance.

In comments from June 1st, Ryklaw noted that based on his perspective, pound for pound, Order of the Orc and Slaves to Armok have had the most impressive showing, in spite of the fact that the tournament scoreboard may show otherwise. “One may wonder at that statement considering they hold the number 3 and number 5 spot in the tourney,” he began, adding that after ” . . analyzing the data and comparing the minutes of occupation vs the size of the alliance, these two alliances stand head and shoulders above the other combatants.”

Ryklaw explained that when looking at minutes of occupation and then comparing to population, town, and land claimed, HORDE and StA in fact “hold the number one or number two spot in all three categories. In minutes per member, Slaves to Armok holds the number one position with Order of the Orc in number 4.”

vCrow has effectively pulled away from the competition, dominating even second place Storm by more than 100 days of occupation time. In spite of their dominance, Ryklaw likes what he has seen from these two alliances: “Having personally engaged with both of these alliances, I have to say they are very savvy competitors and have bested me on the battle field.  It will be exciting to continue this friendly competition to the end of the tournament.”
