Mjölnir departs for nCrow after Storm council votes down his proposal to declare war on YARR!

Holy Storm Company’s [Storm] leadership council has voted down Mjölnir’s plans to declare war on YARR and attempt to force a surrender, the Times has learned. The fallout from the council’s decision has led Mjo to abruptly quit Storm and retire to nCrow.

By early Thursday morning, news had spread throughout the server that Storm leadership decided to not back Mjölnir’s threats made to Ranalos in a PC on Tuesday that if YARR did not make peace in its war with TUF within 24 hours, that he would “do it by force.”

After the Times broke the exclusive story of Mjo’s threat on Wednesday, it was initially believed that the threat had been made with full backing of Storm leadership. Later revelations in GC revealed that the threat had been made without council support after Mjo admitted:

BREAKING: Josh Puts HumanResources, PublicRelations Accounts Into Stomp

Screen Shot 2015-07-07 at 11.12.53 PMThe Times has learned that the player known as “Josh” has moved both of his high-profile accounts into Stomp.

The move comes a little more than week after the HR account became embroiled in a controversy over attacks sent at SIN operations in Pawanallpa while still in Shark, and again after briefly joining nCrow before being quickly booted from the alliance. The attacks, ostensibly unsanctioned by both Shark and nCrow, has put Josh at odds with nCrow, with Crow’s Nest Elder commenting on the Times that “he’s made some significant enemies and burnt many bridges. SIN is likely not his biggest concern presently.” Similar sentiments may exist in the Shark camp as well, which calls into question whether the Crows could seek to take action against HR while he is in Stomps.

Josh has vehemently denied deliberately misleading anyone in his attacks on SIN, insisting he was only helping out a friend in defense:

[20:20]<HumanResources> No one was duped. No one was fooled.
There were no hidden intentions behind joining nCrow or anything of the sort.
All your rants, assumptions and speculation has nothing to it.
I am simply JOSH. I play differently than you do.
Making me look this bad is not nice of you
Thanks

HR had indicated previously in GC that SIN was already conducting military operations against his BL assets before joining Stomps, and the Times has learned that Josh and SIN leadership may have discussed surrender terms for the HR account, which, if true, clearly broke down, precipitating his move to Stomps.

HR Denies Misleading nCrow in GC Rant

HumanResources flatly denied misleading Crow’s Nest leaders in seeking asylum from SIN reprisals and potentially drawing nCrow into the Stomps/BL Land Claim war on Friday in an exchange with Stukahh in GC. Using his HR account, the high-profile Illyriad gamer known as “Josh” sought to redirect allegations of endangering nCrow’s reputation and peace by characterizing the BL alliance land claim group as being mean-spirited in attacking him:

[20:20]<HumanResources> No one was duped. No one was fooled. There were no hidden intentions behind joining nCrow or anything of the sort. All your rants, assumptions and speculation has nothing to it. Thanks
[20:21]<HumanResources> I am simply JOSH. I play differently than you do. Making me look this bad is not nice of you

The criticisms stem from Josh’s controversial role in the land claim war, using his HumanResources account to launch successful blockade-breaking attacks at SIN sieges in Pawanallpa where HR has 5 substantial cities. The Times has been able to confirm that HR’s initial attack came while still a member of Shark, while another was launched after joining nCrow. Other reports of attacks have been mentioned but could not be independently verified.

In his GC dialog with Stukahh, Josh seemed willing to admit that he was at fault for not divulging his role in the current war to Crow’s Nest leaders before joining nCrow, but stopped short of characterizing that point as anything more than an accident:

[20:25]<HumanResources> We can agree that I should have INFORMED about attacks on SIN when joining nCrow (this is how I see it the only fault, but yes it is big)
[20:25]<HumanResources> anyway thats it for me (: igm if you wanna debate

In the continued heated GC exchange, Stukahh and HR both clearly indicated that SIN now considers the HR account to be an enemy combatant in the war, and has ostensibly begun to initiate operations against him in the Broken Lands

[20:26]<Stukahh> You are simply trying to run
[20:26]<Stukahh> like a coward
[20:26]<Stukahh> but you sant
[20:26]<Stukahh> *cant
[20:26]<Stukahh> because we are hunting you

[20:26]<HumanResources> I’m not running anywhere
[20:27]<HumanResources> I got that impression already and your siege is inbound as well

[20:28]<HumanResources> I don’t really understand how you have become so hostile towards me. I’m just playing the game

[20:28]<Stukahh> You attacked us
[20:28]<Stukahh> you are hostile to us

[20:29]<HumanResources> your approach is just hateful and aggressive
[20:29]<HumanResources> not nice

HR’s closing argument in GC once again insisted that leaving out the details of not informing nCrow of his role in the war as an oversight and motivated simply to help his friend Valdorum in Pawanallpa:

[20:30]<HumanResources> I didn’t deceive nCrow. I failed to inform the leadership that I was defending a friend

[20:30]<Stukahh> LOL HR
[20:30]<Stukahh> ok

[20:30]<Stukahh> nice failed attempt at spin

[20:31]<HumanResources> Anyway, we don’t agree. I just have my point of view and you have yours

However, it remains to be seen if Crow’s Nest leaders accepted Josh’s explanation for why he failed to report the attacks made on SIN operations just prior to and during his brief stint in nCrow. In a comment to the Times, nCrow elder and game influencer Mona Lisa clearly expressed dissatisfaction with Josh’s behavior:

Fear not, HR’s presence in nCrow was an aberration and will never happen again . . . was a costly move on his part . . . he’s made some significant enemies and burnt many bridges. SIN is likely not his biggest concern presently . . .

Currently, both of Josh’s game accounts remain unaffiliated with an alliance. The HumanResources account has not joined another alliance since the nCrow incident, and his PublicRelations account left vCrow on June 29th. It remains to be seen if he will join Stomps in their effort to destroy all land claims and their respective alliances in the BL.

JOSH UPDATE: HR to nCrow, PR Remains Unaffiliated

In a deft political move, Josh’s HumanResources account has been accepted into the Crow’s Nest [nCrow] — a move that comes after days of the HR account purportedly being used to launch defensive attacks on BL Land Claim alliance operations against Valdorum in Pawanallpa.

Josh’s new home in nCrow could complicate any planned land claimer efforts to potentially seek retribution against him in the Broken Lands. Now, as an nCrow member, any attacks against HumanResources could be met with nCrow defensive support, potentially leading to the first major escalation since the outset of the war.

The Crow’s Nest, while a predominantly Elgean alliance, has begun to develop a colony of well-developed cities in the north regions of the Broken Lands. In the map below, the red box indicates HR’s relative cluster in Pawanallpa, and the green cities are nCrow positions:

nCrow would be well-positioned to defend Josh against counter-assaults should they choose to enter the war. Another major political consideration is that nCrow is a member of the powerful GA coalition, which successfully led an impressive military campaign in the Great War that led to the decimation of once-powerful alliances like H? and NC, establishing the GA alliances as the predominant power block in the game.

At present, nCrow has made no official statement in the Illy Forums or elsewhere about their acceptance of Josh’s HR account, nor have their characterized their willingness to enter the current war.
