FETTERED: Agalloch Reportedly Permabanned; TUF Will Dissolve Post-Tournament: Josh

Screen Shot 2015-11-26 at 10.27.31 pmTUF leader and Broken Lands Warlord Agalloch and his alt account Elfs Bane has been double-permabanned by Illyriad game moderators, effective early morning on September 18th. With Agalloch’s expulsion from the game, viperone’s departure from TUF, and other high-profile permabans, rage abandons, and departures from the likes of ThorOdin/AinNick, Mexican Dwarf, and Streitaxt Söldner, the future of TUF remains in question.

Other possible permabans in TUF include kaven and kerzap, whose profile pages appear to have been wiped, which is usual custom in such instances.

The Times has not been able to determine what the reasons were for Agalloch’s permabans, and as it is Illyriad policy for game moderators to not disclose such reasons, it is unlikely that that information will be made public on the server.

In the wake of the permaban, Agalloch addressed in the issue in a protracted comment here on the Times:

Veni,Vidi,I Twerked
Now you may all KISS MY BIG FAT GREEN(k) ASS

P.S To TEN KULCH …. SIN is full of sats buddy more than TUF ever had in its roster, actually only one sat account was used during the whole conflict versus SIN and that was Dsasa that you guys targeted. There was no multi accounting and that is a fact if thorodin/aian was multiing he would of gotten banned in both accounts.

Would you like me to give a list of all the sats SIN has in its roster? I know most of them I may not be the smartest person that played in illy (most likely by far) but I know things I just never stooped to your guys level and reported anyone for anything.( and yes i know for a fact you guys report people since stuk himself told me he reported me before)
I exited exactly the way I wanted, in the year and a half that I played I trained myself and went against some of the biggest and baddest players in the game and held my own.
Now if you want to say that we cheated in order to do what we accomplished knock yourself out bitch, my team and I know exactly what we were up against and how we did it the rest of you can eat crow shit!

Agalloch’s ongoing claims that TUF was not multiaccounting and that SIN was continues to be echoed by other members of TUF in Times comments. Recently permabanned TUF member AinNick suggested that there was collusion between SIN and the game developers in banning the key members of TUF:

just reading lots of kids blabla. Sin tries to justify their superiour lousy war tactics… the devs / sin should bring evidence of multiaccounting, which never was delivered…. and what ten tries is just to rewrite the history how he personally thinks it could be… it produces a big laugh on me… TUF time was great, game management is lousy, the SIN / Dev relationship is unprofessional. have fun. we can only hope that people are not investing money in a dead game.

SIN has vehemently denied that it played any role in reporting TUF members for multi-accounting, but as the game moderators are unlikely to weigh in on the subject, there will be no definitive proof either way of what the impetus was that led to the widespread TUF expulsions.

Meanwhile, remaining TUF veteran Josh indicated in Times comments that the remaining roster will stay in place only until the tournament:

*sidenote*

TUF will wait until the tournament is over to dissolve.

The tournament is slated to end on Friday the 30th of September.

The status of the current war between TUF and SIN remains in question.

TUF Slowly Departing Illyriad in Protest After ThorOdin Permaban

TUF appears to be making good on its threat to leave the game in protest after a high-profile permabanning of key TUF warrior ThorOdin on Thursday. After the incident on Thursday, TUF leader Agalloch took to GC and made several incendiary comments about the game and the decision, claiming that he and most others would leave Illyriad, and that TUF would be closed down.

Currently, the TUF alliance profile page still reads: “TUF IS BEING DISOLVED BY THE DEVELOPERS ITS BEEN NICE PLAYING HERE BUT YOU CAN ALL GO F*** YOURSELVES!!!

In the wake of DISSOLVED abandoning his AinNick account, Streitaxt Söldner also left TUF on September 16, and appears to have a wiped profile page. In recent comments on the Times, Streitaxt suggested that ThorOdin’s permaban was precipitated “because ThorOdin was causing the most damage to sin maybe.”

Viperone, co-leader and co-founder, noted yesterday in comments that the departure process is continuing, according to a snippet of dialogue sent to the Times:

[05:28]<viperone> left TUF as the alliance is closing shop soon dumburz
[05:28]<Dumburz> i see
[05:29]<viperone> just tying up some loose ends myself

He has now left TUF as well.

Screen Shot 2015-08-03 at 3.04.31 PM
TUF’s Agalloch also threatened to leave the game after ajqtrz, pictured above, was permabanned.

This isn’t the first time that TUF members have been permabanned and Agalloch has threatened to leave the game. When TUF philosopher ajqtrz was permabanned for spamming the forum and threatening the developers, The Times reported that “TUF leader Agalloch is furious over the move by the devs to permaban ajqtrz and has changed the name of The Unfettered to read ‘The Pissed Off‘ [FUK].” At that time, TUF also purportedly blame SIN’s Stukahh for the ajqtrz permaban, showing a pattern that suggests TUF believes that SIN is responsible for the permabanning of some of its alliance’s members.

SIN has denied any role in both of the permabanning incidents, with SIN member Ten Kulch noting in a Times comment, “TUF has put forth a great fight against SIN’s larger armies. It is a disappointment to see ThorOdin and AianNick disappear from the game. From the perspective of many in SIN, those TUF accounts were putting up a great fight, and I doubt anyone cared if they were indeed multi-accounting. If the war were to end on this note, we would feel cheated of a real victory.”

It remains to be seen what the future status of the TUF/SIN will be as TUF continues to close down, but if the TUF alliance is completely vacated, the Times will indefinitely suspend the tracking of the war as an active war.

PAWA PUFFS: TUF Continues To Siege SIN’s Vulerable Cities in Pawanallpian Desert

Screen Shot 2015-10-21 at 10.41.59 pmTUF is once again siezing an opportunistic moment in its war with SIN, sieging two more cities in Pawanallpa that are far removed from the Hashashin’s strongholds in Fellandire and Newsland. The Herald’s siege section is reporting on the siege action this morning:

Deimo [SIN] Elvesbane [855|-1723] in Pawanallpa Agalloch [TUF] Tue 13 Sep 07:00
Deimo [SIN] Elvesbane [854|-1722] in Pawanallpa Mexican dwarf [TUF] Tue 13 Sep 07:00
Deimo [SIN] Elvesbane [855|-1722] in Pawanallpa Karl Aegis [TUF] Tue 13 Sep 07:03
Deimo [SIN] Elvesbane [853|-1724] in Pawanallpa PublicRelations [TUF] Tue 13 Sep 11:19

Deimos’ city of Elvesbane is surrounded by plains, which is likely why TUF is running four siege camps; the multi-siege approach gives them a chance to reduce the city’s population quickly, before SIN cavalry can land from a distance. The city is also heavily blockaded, which will make it difficult for Deimo to prestige build.

TUF is also sieging another of Deimo’s cities in Pawanallpa:

Deimo [SIN] Dark Parmenion [922|-1594] in Pawanallpa PublicRelations [TUF] Tue 13 Sep 00:51

There was a second and third siege that also set up on this city sent by Agalloch’s alt account Elfs Bane and Josh’s PublicRelations that have since been broken by SIN.

He-Man Hurt in Desert: Impressive TUF Op Humiliates SIN

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amIn a significant turn of events, TUF has answered the loss of one of their active’s cities in southern BL with a major siege victory against the game’s top defensive player. Amid a swarm of siege and blockade camps set down against SIN’s He-Man, it was Josh who was finally able to storm his city of Cracked Walnut and destroy it, the Times has learned.

The Times reported earlier on the landing of the siege on September 1st, which at first featured three siege camps by Agalloch that were later joined by the PublicRelations account, who set down an additional two more. The remaining squares were occupied by sieges and, while it appears that SIN managed to cripple several of the siege camps, the close proximity of TUF cities were likely able to keep blockades and direct attacks cycling throughout the operation.

The length of the siege suggests that He-Man broke enough blockades and prestige built at times, however, TUF was able to take advantage of He-Man’s city placement, which was flanked by 6 TUF cities.

The siege victory is a major win for TUF, who effectively answers SIN’s recent razing of kaven’s just stolen with an even more high-profile razing in Pawanallpa.

Adding insult to injury, it also appears that the raze has forced SIN to fall back from its desert position, according to a suggestion from TUF in GC following their victory yesterday:

[19:51]<PublicRelations> bye bye
[19:52]*PublicRelations waves at the retreating desert orc
[19:52]<ThorOdin> nice
[19:52]<PublicRelations> going up are we?

The war between TUF and SIN has effectively become an effort for Broken Lands warlord Agalloch to unseat The Hashashin as the assumed military leaders of the game — and his alliance has made a strong case for it. SIN has struggled in the early going of the war, already losing three cities to razes, while having another 4 of its sieges broken. While SIN has razed or captured 4 TUF cities since the onset of the war, a 4 and 4 record for the top military alliance pales in comparison to their previous wars, such as the recent NW2, where they managed to destroy 31 cities.

Agalloch, TUF Sieges He-Man in Pawa in Major PLains Op

Screen Shot 2015-07-21 at 3.32.37 PMIn the wake of a high-profile loss in the southern BL, TUF has launched a major offensive on SIN war veteran He-Man in the deserts of Pawanallpa. The Herald is currently reporting the siege action, with Agalloch arriving first on the scene:

He-Man [SIN] Cracked Walnut! [769|-1657] in Pawanallpa Agalloch [TUF] Thu 01 Sep 12:58
He-Man [SIN] Cracked Walnut! [767|-1657] in Pawanallpa Agalloch [TUF] Thu 01 Sep 13:00
He-Man [SIN] Cracked Walnut! [768|-1657] in Pawanallpa Agalloch [TUF] Thu 01 Sep 13:00

Later on, Josh’s sieges landed as well:

He-Man [SIN] Cracked Walnut! [769|-1655] in Pawanallpa PublicRelations [TUF] Thu 01 Sep 18:51
He-Man [SIN] Cracked Walnut! [767|-1655] in Pawanallpa HumanResources [TUF] Thu 01 Sep 21:23

He-Man’s cities are placed on plains, but they are isolated from the rest of SIN’s hub in Fellandire. In order to speed up the siege, TUF is running a multi-camp operation to hopefully take He-Man down quickly.

In addition to the siege camps, TUF is also placing blockades around the city to ensure that res and supplies cannot be brought in.

YARR! Unraveling as Infighting Plagues Leadership Core

A quick glance of the YARR/TUF score card, as well as public opinion polls on who is winning the conflict, would suggest that YARR remains firmly in the lead over TUF. However, recent developments point to a shift in morale, with TUF regaining its balance after a series of lost siege battles, and YARR leadership losing several key players.

The first in a string of personnel setbacks for YARR came with the controversy surrounding YARR’s Jaxi, who after reportedly receiving a hefty GC chat ban for making inappropriate remarks, abandoned after several YARR members complained about the matter. Jaxi was the alt of Earl Jax, founder of Hansa and a key player in expanding YARR after a series of mergers. His abandoned profile states, “As of June 5 2016 I decided to take my leave from Illyriad due to my behavior.”

Curmudgeon, who has also since left YARR, was particularly critical of Jaxi’s antics in GC. “I am glad you got banned from GC,” he reportedly said weeks ago in an alliance-wide IGM for the entire alliance to read. “If we weren’t in a war I would have quit the alliance when you came off with that nasty trash. I was certainly embarrassed to be part of an alliance whose joint leader would talk that way.”

YARR Razes Gwendalynn’s City in Pawa as Agalloch’s Wavers

Gwendalynn has lost her city of Cow Palace to Curmudgeon’s siege.

TUF member Gwendalynn has lost her city of Cow Palace — renamed to Yarr is afraid of 1 woman — in the wake of a YARR siege laid down by Curmudgeon, who struck a regretful tone in earlier comments to the Times for sieging an otherwise “popular” player. YARR officials provided the Times with the raze report:

Yarr is afraid of 1 woman, belonging to Gwendalynn which was located at 872|-1800 has been razed by Curmudgeon.

The raze is Curmudgeon’s first successful siege in the YARR/TUF war, after his first siege against Agalloch’s The Number of the Beast was broken by the BL warlord himself, who also broke a siege camp by Muad’Dib on May 10, 2016. Prior to that operation, Curmudgeon also recalled a siege on Karl Aegis’ city of Girlscout Campfire on May 15, 2016.

The raze is Gwen’s first city lost in the war.

YARR noted that “Gwen did make an effort to save her cities and killed off about 8k cav on her siege, but only elites from her alliance mates were sent.”

The Times has not received a reaction about the raze from Agalloch or other TUF officials at this point.

Meanwhile,  Agalloch’s own city The Number of the Beast appears to be wavering under sustained YARR pressure, headed by Josh’s ongoing siege. Defense of the city appears to be light in comparison to the first siege on the city, which was vigorously defended by TUF.

JOSH V. AGA II: New YARR Siege Op on Agalloch Lights Up Illy

Josh
Stukahh
versus Aga

After their previous high-profile siege that led to the razing of the city of Megadeth, Josh and Agalloch are once again going head to head, as YARR is using the PublicRelations account as its lead for a new siege on the TUF leader. News of the new siege operation flashed through GC earlier:

09:00]<System> ** News Flash: Agalloch’s [TUF] large town of .The Number of the Beast is now under siege by PublicRelations’ [YARR!] sprawling city of dd Sitting Situation

. . . with the Herald’s Siege section posting further details:

Agalloch [TUF]

.The Number of the Beast

[780|-1671] in Pawanallpa

PublicRelations [YARR!]

Thu 26 May 09:00

YARR is taking advantage of a small hill in the largely plains-dominated desert for its siege camp, while three blockades are already in place to keep Agalloch from easily prestige building.

This is not the first time that The Number of the Beast has been a siege target in the YARR/TUF war: Curmudgeon and Muad’Dib both sieged the city on May 8th, which was subsequently “stopped at the gates” by Agalloch. Josh will look to finish the job in this second attempt on the city.

In comments to the Times on Tuesday, Josh noted that YARR had ” touched down a blockade on .The Number of the Beast in Pawanallpa, with a good amount of defensive troops that will be challenging remaining offensive TUF troops in the region until the blockade will be replaced by a siege force and many more troops in, which they most likely won’t be able to destroy.” A later report claimed that their “blockade has been taking light hits and a lot of cav, but also spear, bow elite divisions hitting it often.”

Josh also added that, “Elfs Bane has also just landed a town of his in Pawanallpa that we have now cleared of troops from regions further away. Things are looking good for Yarr!”

JOSH 1, AGA 0: YARR Razes TUF Leader in Protracted Desert Siege

Screen Shot 2015-10-23 at 9.45.10 amThe Pirate Republic has scored a major siege victory in its war with TUF, with BL military veteran Josh razing TUF leader and Broken Lands warlord Agalloch in a protracted, hotly-contested siege in the scorched deserts of Pawanallpa that concluded on Wednesday morning. Early this morning, YARR officials posted the details of the successful siege to the Times:

From: System
Subject: FW: .Megadeth razed!
Received: 18 May 2016 08:13
Original Message:
.Megadeth, belonging to Agalloch which was located at 731|-1734 has been razed by PublicRelations.

The siege on Megadeth began in the early hours of May 16. While the siege only took two days to complete, it was reportedly a contentious operation that was contested by Agalloch breaking small blockades, meeting direct attacks on the city with equipped elites, and prestige building heavily to keep the city from collapsing. a player with detailed knowledge of the battle claims that Josh’s storm force “practically walked right in,” indicating that Megadeth was out of troops — a claim that Agalloch himself even eluded to at times in GC.

In comments to the Times, Josh noted that: “Agalloch did a good job clearing blockades until we started doing rotating blockades and timing it really well,” adding that “credit goes to Walnut, a new player in Yarr who has done an awesome job in the war so far and we are very impressed with him.”

JOSH VERSUS AGA: Heavyweight Desert Smackdown Between YARR & TUF Continues

Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 11.15.52 AMYARR and TUF are once again engaged in a high-energy battle in the deserts of Pawanallpa, with one of TUF leader Agalloch’s cities taking center stage. Nearly 24 hours ago, YARR initiated a major siege on Agalloch, with one of the Pirate republic’s leading military players leading the charge.

Agalloch [TUF] .Megadeth [732|-1734] in Pawanallpa PublicRelations [YARR!] Mon 16 May 00:03

Known by his iconic PublicRelations and HumanResources accounts, Josh has made his mark as one of the most active and prolific fighters in the Broken lands, as has Agalloch. Even more interesting is the fact that both enemy combatants served together in both Stomps and SHARK. Now, they find themselves on opposite ends of the battlefield, fighting a draining battle that could potentially usher in the endgame of the war, depending on how willing both sides are to push all-in with troops.

A source with knowledge of the battle say that Agalloch de-leveled the city early on to make it more difficult to raze, and has done everything he can to keep the population from dropping, ostensibly using prestige. While the source would not share information about the composition or state of the siege, they did note that numerous clearing attempts have already been made using elites, and that Agalloch in turn has responded with elite defense, making for several elite-on-elite battles. It is not known at this time if Agalloch is dodging a large city force, or whether he has few city forces left and is using them in elite configurations in desperation.

The city of Megadeth has an interesting history, as it was a center of activity in the Death/TUF-Tuna war. Kratos sieged the city on January 25, 2016, which went on to be broken by the warlord Agalloch himself. For Aga, that was his fifth unanswered siege break in a row in that war, and his alliance went on to it, with peace being established just a week later on February 1, 2016
